1.4 FTE Pledge Facilitators Vacancies

Cheshire and Warrington LEP are recruiting 1.4 FTE Pledge Facilitators to develop the Pledge Partnership across Cheshire and Warrington.

Successful candidates will join a team, most of whom will be based within our Business Growth Hub Team in Winsford.  The new team members will cover the Northwich Pledge and Winsford Pledge as well as part of Cheshire East including Sandbach, Middlewich and Alsager.

The Cheshire and Warrington Pledge works with employers, schools and colleges and voluntary groups to enable employers to recruit the skilled people they need by putting employers at the heart of inspiring young people about new technologies and careers and progression opportunities across Cheshire and Warrington. This will enable young people to make more informed decisions about the subjects they choose to study and the skills they develop so that they are able to progress successfully into employment.

The Pledge Partnership is building on the success of the Crewe, Macclesfield and Middlewich Pledges, which have been hosted by South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce.  The wider Cheshire and Warrington Pledge was successfully launched at Alderley Park on 21st June with over 200 employers, schools, youth groups and other enthusiastic stakeholders in attendance.   The extended programme of work with Youthfed as the lead partner, and the majority of the delivery team being employed by Cheshire and Warrington LEP, is using funding for these posts from the European Social Fund.

The wider Pledge Partnership will develop a network of 10 Pledges across the whole of the Cheshire and Warrington footprint, each one with a local flavour and membership but also linked to the wider geography of the sub-region.

We are looking to recruit:

1.4 FTE x Pledge Facilitators – employed by C&W LEP – Fixed term contract until Sept 2021

The Pledge Facilitators will work to recruit employers to the partnership and work with those employers to develop employer-led activities and projects in schools, further education and the transition phase between the two – this will involve young people in benefiting from work experience, placements and skills acquisition.  They will help employers to have meaningful engagements directly with young people to raise their profile and develop their talent pool.  The new staff will join the team including 4 FTE Pledge Facilitators, 4 Careers and Enterprise Careers Coordinators and 2 Youth Engagement Coordinators who make up the Cheshire and Warrington Pledge delivery team. The posts will be employed by C&W LEP, based in Winsford but as part of a bigger team will help to support initiatives across the Cheshire and Warrington sub-region as part of the Pledge partnership.  We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates with a passion for STEM as careers in this field are a priority area of focus for the LEP.
