Ged Barlow

Chair, Cheshire Energy Hub

Ged is Chair of the Cheshire Energy Hub (CEH), a business representative organisation, comprising many leading multi-national energy intensive manufacturers and energy sector supply chain companies, who all have significant interests in the Cheshire region. It works with its member organisations and key stakeholders to promote collaborative activity, advance the skills agenda and drive economic growth.

Prior to this, he also held senior commercial and general management posts in C-Tech Innovation (Energy technology research), EA Technology (Energy Utilities), ICI (Speciality Chemicals) and Courtaulds Textiles (Fabric Manufacture). He has held a number of government policy technical and advisory roles, primarily in the areas of energy and sustainability. Ged is also a member of the CBI’s North West Regional Council and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry from Loughborough University and an MA in Management from Lancaster University.

Ged chairs the LEP’s Performance and Investment Committee and leads on the Board of the LEP in the areas of Energy and Innovation.
