Strategic Economic Plan and Growth Plan for Cheshire and Warrington
Cheshire and Warrington Matters is a new and ambitious strategy to support growth and economic development over the next decade. Developed in response to a call from Government for sub-regionally-defined Strategic Economic Plans, it has been progressed through an extensive partner and stakeholder engagement process over a nine-month period.
The SEP currently outlines plans to deliver a £35bn economy, but we are now in discussions with Government to boost this growth further as part of our Devolution Growth Bid, which highlights how we can deliver a £50bn economy for Cheshire and Warrington by 2040 and create 139,000 new homes and 127,000 new jobs. If we are successful in our bid, the SEP will be updated.
