‘Crewe – High Speed-ready Heart’ Regeneration Programme
Cheshire East Council is leading on the £69m regeneration of Crewe town Centre, which is phased to ensure the town is well-placed to benefit from the future opening of a HS2 Hub Station. The LEP is considering awarding a grant of £10m towards the costs of the regeneration programme from their Local Growth Fund award.
Overall the programme will focus on a new mixed-use redevelopment of key parts of the town centre, with LGF funding to support the delivery of a new bus station, high quality public realm and a revitalised market hall. Members of the public are invited to review the proposals as detailed in the outline business case.
