On behalf of Cheshire and Warrington LEP, Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub provides support and information to businesses.  During this time, we will be providing the very latest guidance in relation to Covid-19 for your business along with details of existing and new support packages to help our businesses minimise the impact on their immediate and longer-term operations.

Grant Funding

All businesses in receipt of Small Business Rates Relief (SBRR) and Rural Rates Relief (RRR) in the business rates system are eligible for a £10,000 grant.

Businesses in receipt of the Expanded Retail Discount (which covers retail, hospitality and leisure) with a rateable value of less than £51,000 are eligible for cash grants of £10,000 or £25,000 depending on your rateable value.

Businesses across Cheshire and Warrington are now receiving these grants into their bank accounts, to receive the grants businesses are being asked to confirm/provide their bank details directly to their relevant local authority. Please click the relevant link below to provide your details.

Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme

The scheme is now live and businesses can now go online to claim cash grants worth up to 80% of wages, capped at £2,500 a month per worker. To claim for furloughed employees, you will need to have:

  • created and started a PAYE payroll scheme on or before 19 March 2020
  • enrolled for PAYE online
  • a UK bank account  Start your claim here
 

 

Coronavirus Large Business Interruption Loan Scheme

The Coronavirus Large Business Interruption Loan Scheme  is now open for applications. The scheme supports large businesses, with an annual turnover of over £45 million.

  • Businesses with turnover of more than £45 million per year can apply for up to £25 million of finance.
  • Businesses with turnover of more than £250 million can apply for up to £50 million of finance.  Find out more
 

 

Coronavirus Future Fund

Launching in May, The Future Fund will provide government loans to UK-based companies ranging from £125,000 to £5 million, subject to at least equal match funding from private investors. These convertible loans may be a suitable option for businesses that rely on equity investment and are unable to access the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme. Find out more
