Cheshire Entrepreneur Named LEP Deputy Chair

Trevor Brocklebank announced as deputy chair

Cheshire Entrepreneur Trevor Brocklebank, co-founder of award-winning Home Instead Senior Care has today been named Deputy Chair of Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).  

The announcement follows the recent announcement of Clare Hayward’s appointment as Chair of the LEP.

Trevor Brocklebank is a renowned business leader.  He co-founded Warrington headquartered Home Instead Senior Care, now a £100m company recognised as the UK’s leading home care specialists.  Trevor also co-founded Mezenet, an IT Business Intelligence Consultancy, servicing clients such as Unilever, the BBC and Novartis.

Speaking about his appointment, Trevor commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Clare and Board colleagues to support the LEP’s executive team in driving forward the economic success of Cheshire and Warrington.  As a long-standing Cheshire resident, I am excited at the prospect of helping to shape our future and to making a real difference for those that live and work in our region.”

Clare Hayward MBE DL, Chair designate said: “I am delighted that Trevor has accepted this important role and am very much looking forward to the opportunity of working with him.  His impressive record of building successful businesses, and his passion for Cheshire and Warrington, will bring valuable skills and experience to the LEP Board.

“This is an exciting time for Cheshire and Warrington as we work towards finalising our Local Industrial Strategy.  This is the decade of decarbonisation, digital transformation, increased connectivity and new trading relationships. We are working with business to ensure we are prepared for our new economic environment by creating the best conditions for investment, and as the world of work is changing, supporting our residents to develop new and enhanced skills.  “The focus for myself, Trevor and the Board will be on further growing our economy; decarbonising our region and retaining and attracting businesses and upskilling our workforce to maximise career progression opportunities for residents.

Trevor and Clare formally take up their roles on 1st April 2020.

Trevor’s other roles include Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust where he is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of Workbuzz, a fast-growing leading provider of on-line employee engagement surveys.
