Cheshire and Warrington set sights on local industrial strategy

Leaders from across Cheshire and Warrington have come together to begin developing an industrial strategy for the region.

A conference led by the Local Enterprise Partnership and Cheshire West and Chester Council was considered to be the first step in the area’s response to the grand challenges of the UK’s national industrial strategy.

More than 100 delegates from across the public and private sectors heard from Alex Williams, deputy director for the industrial strategy directorate at the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy, who gave the discussion a national context.
