Macclesfield Pledge March Meeting

4th March – 8.30am – 11am – Hollin House Hotel & Restaurant, Jackson Lane, Bollington, SK10 5BG

Macclesfield Pledge Meeting for schools and employers to shape the agenda for employability skills and career opportunities for young people

The Macclesfield Pledge meetings are a chance for schools and employers to meet and work together and share best practice in how we inform and inspire young people in our region about skills, pathways and careers in our locality.

The Pledge Partnership, part of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership, puts employers at the heart of inspiring, informing and communicating with the next generation of employees in Cheshire and Warrington. The Macclesfield Pledge area covers Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Poynton, Knutsford and parts of Congleton.

As always, we are looking to reach out to employers in the area and to come and find out more about engaging with the Macclesfield Pledge. We are extremely privileged that all the schools and colleges within our area are already working with the Macclesfield Pledge and keen to work with local businesses to help young people in the area become more employer ready.

– New funding initiatives for the area

– Showcase of opportunities for schools and employers

– Next steps for the Macclesfield Pledge

– Networking

Following the successful pilot of The Pledge Partnership in Macclesfield and Crewe, The Pledge Partnership is now part of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership and funders including European Social Funding have enabled us to roll out The Pledge across the region. We now have ten Pledge areas of which Macclesfield is one and we are keen to engage as many employers as possible to build on the success that has already been achieved.
