Local Industrial Strategy Stakeholder Event (Cheshire East)
17th June, 12.00pm – 3.45pm, Crewe Alexandra Stadium, Gresty Road, Crewe, CW2 6EB
Developing ambitious Local Industrial Strategies is central to delivering the National Industrial Strategy’s vision to build an economy fit for the future, with prosperous communities across the United Kingdom, and to drive up productivity.
Cheshire and Warrington LEP is one of the early leaders in developing a Local Industrial Strategy. As part of the initial phase of work we engaged with a wide range of stakeholders to share the evidence we had compiled and test our initial thinking about the key issues and opportunities for the Cheshire and Warrington economy.
The LEP has now begun to scope out its thoughts on what the Local Industrial Strategy should look like, what the key areas of focus should be and the practical actions and interventions we believe are needed to boost productivity, improve business resilience and increase earning power. We want to share and test that thinking with key partners, stakeholders and local businesses and have arranged a series of events as part of this second stage of the LIS process.
Sessions will follow a similar format at each venue and will include a presentation on our emerging thinking, and an interactive session where attendees can discuss what they’ve heard, tell us if we’ve missed anything important and give their views on what it might mean for the Cheshire and Warrington economy.
Please note that numbers for each event are limited, so do book early. Attendance is FREE. If for some reason you book but can no longer attend a session, please do let us know so that we can offer your place to someone else.
12pm registration and buffet, 1pm start – 3.45pm
