Green light for Cheshire housing scheme

Plans for a 265-strong residential scheme in Cheshire have been approved.

Stewart Milne Homes is behind the development, which will comprises a mix of houses and apartments and be based at the former Roften Works site in Hooton.

The proposals, which secured unanimous approval from the planning committee, include a central boulevard, 72-bedroom carehome, new community hall and a village green. Construction will begin in early 2019.

It will be the largest development in the housebuilder’s portfolio of homes across the North West.
